The administrator of the WetPaint site decides who has and who doesn't have status as a writer.
So the first step is confirming that you have status as a writer. Sign in to the site and if an EasyEdit button

appears in the upper left hand corner, you can continue with this tutorial. If it doesn't appear, contact the
Site Administrator.
Caution: WetPaint
mayconsistently does not work well with the latest version of Internet Explorer, so you might want to switch to another browser.

Beginning to Edit: Text
When you click on the EasyEdit button, the EasyEdit toolbar appears.
The text tools available on the toolbar

will be familiar to all of you.
TASKS
1. So take a minute, open this page (if it isn't already open, you can find a link on the Home page), click on the
EasyEdit button, type a sentence below and try out the text formatting tools.

3. Click
Save on the EasyEdit Toolbar and your changes appear.
TIP: WetPaint can be fussy when you want to reposition text by cutting and pasting into a new location on an IBM, so learn the following IBM shortcuts Control C to copy and Control V to paste.To add a link, highlight the word or image, you wish to make into a link and click the
Link button

. The following window will open:

If you want to link to a web page outside of WetPaint, copy the URL and paste it into
Link to: box.
If you want to link to another page already created in this wiki, click on the
Find Page button and all current content is listed.
Click
Add Link and you are done. To test the link, click
Save on the EasyEdit Toolbar and the link should take you to another page.
To add a table to the page, the
Table button

opens the following menu. Notice the red line, this is not the default setting but changing to "Fit to Page" means that no matter how large the reader's screen is the table will always fill the page.
